The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ AR-RAHMAN 1 Bestowed the Qur'an, 2 He created the human 3 [And] taught him eloquence. 4 The sun and the moon follow a reckoning. 5 And the herbs and the trees do prostrate (to Him). 6 He raised the heavens and set up everything in balance, 7 That ye should not trespass in respect of the balance. 8 And keep up the balance with equity and do not make the measure deficient. 9 And He appointed the earth for the creatures. 10 In which are fruits, and covered dates. 11 And grain having husks and scented plants. 12 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 13 He has created man out of sounding clay, like pottery, 14 and He created the jinns from a flame of fire. 15 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 16 He is the Lord of the East and West through all seasons. 17 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord do you then deny? 18 He has set flowing two seas that appear to meet. 19 Between them is a barrier, which they do not overrun. 20 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 21 From them come forth the pearl and the coral. 22 O which of your Lord's bounties will you and you deny? 23 His are the lofty ships, that rear aloft on the sea like mountains. 24 How many favours of your Lord will then both of you deny? 25
