The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ The Merciful 1 who taught the Quran -- 2 He created man 3 He hath taught him utterance. 4 The sun and the moon [move] by precise calculation, 5 The plants and trees prostrate before Him. 6 And the heaven He has raised high, and He has set up the Balance. 7 that you may not transgress in the balance, 8 Therefore, maintain just measure and do not transgress against the Balance. 9 He set down the earth for the creation. 10 Therein is fruit and palm trees having sheaths [of dates] 11 Grain with husk, and fragrant grasses. 12 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny? 13 He created man of clay like, unto pottery. 14 And He created Jinns from fire free of smoke: 15 Which of the wonders of your Lord's power will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 16 [He is] Lord of the two sunrises and Lord of the two sunsets. 17 Which, then, of your Sustainer's powers can you disavow? 18 He has set two seas in motion that flow side by side together, 19 There is a barrier between them. They encroach not (one upon the other). 20 Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? 21 There come forth from the twain the pearl and the coral. 22 Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? 23 Also, His are the ships that run, raised up like mountains upon the sea. 24 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 25
