The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ (Allah) Most Gracious! 1 It is He Who has taught the Qur'an. 2 He hath created man. 3 He taught him eloquent speech. 4 The sun and the moon are in a reckoning. 5 The stars and the trees prostrate. 6 He raised the heavens and set up the measure, 7 That ye should not trespass in respect of the balance. 8 weigh, therefore, [your deeds] with equity, and cut not the measure short! 9 And earth -- He set it down for all beings, 10 Therein is fruit and palm trees having sheaths [of dates] 11 Also corn, with (its) leaves and stalk for fodder, and sweet-smelling plants. 12 Which of the bounties of your Lord will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 13 He has created man from dry, rotten clay like the potter's, 14 and He created the jinn from smokeless fire. 15 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 16 Lord of the Two Easts, Lord of the Two Wests, 17 Which of the powers of your Lord will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 18 He has let free the two bodies of flowing water, meeting together: 19 With an interstice between them which they cannot cross. 20 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord do you then deny? 21 Out of them both come out pearl and coral. 22 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? 23 And His are the ships going and coming in the seas, like mountains. 24 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord do you then deny? 25
