The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
78 verses, revealed in Medina after Thunder (Al-Ra'ad) before The Human (Al-Insan)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ (Allah) Most Gracious! 1 Hath taught the Qur'an. 2 He created the human 3 He has taught him speech (and intelligence). 4 The sun and the moon follow courses (exactly) computed; 5 the stars and the trees bend in prostration. 6 He raised the heavens and set up the measure, 7 In order that ye may not transgress (due) balance. 8 And keep up the balance with equity and do not make the measure deficient. 9 He set down the earth for the creation. 10 Therein are fruit and palm-trees with their dates in sheaths, 11 grain with its husk and aromatic herbs. 12 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 13 He created man of clay like, unto pottery. 14 And created jinns from the white-hot flame of fire. 15 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? 16 [He is] the Sustainer of the two farthest points of sunrise, and the Sustainer of the two farthest points of sunset. 17 Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? 18 He has set two seas in motion that flow side by side together, 19 Whereas there is a barrier between them so they cannot encroach upon one another. 20 O which of your Lord's bounties will you and you deny? 21 There come forth from the twain the pearl and the coral. 22 Which, of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 23 And His are the Ships sailing smoothly through the seas, lofty as mountains: 24 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord do you then deny? 25

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
