The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
78 verses, revealed in Medina after Thunder (Al-Ra'ad) before The Human (Al-Insan)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ The Merciful One 1 Has taught (you mankind) the Quran (by His Mercy). 2 He has created man: 3 He taught distinctness. 4 The sun and the moon are in a reckoning. 5 the stars and the trees bend in prostration. 6 He raised the heavens and set up everything in balance, 7 That you may not be inordinate in respect of the measure. 8 Always measure with justice and do not give short measure. 9 And the earth! He hath lain it out for the creatures. 10 Therein is fruit and palms having sheathed clusters, 11 and grain growing tall on its stalks, and sweet-smelling plants. 12 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 13 He created man of clay like the potter's, 14 And He created Jinns from fire free of smoke: 15 O which of your Lord's bounties will you and you deny? 16 Lord of both the Easts, and Lord of both the Wests! 17 Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? 18 He has set the two oceans in motion, converging together. 19 [yet] between them is a barrier which they may not transgress. 20 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 21 Out of them both come out pearl and coral. 22 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 23 His are the ships displayed upon the sea, like banners. 24 Which of the favours of your Lord will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 25

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
