The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ The Most Merciful 1 Taught the Qur'an, 2 He created man, 3 Has taught him the knowledge of the past and the future. 4 The sun and the moon are in a reckoning. 5 and the stars and the trees bow themselves; 6 He raised the heaven on high and set the scale. 7 In order that you may not transgress (due) balance. 8 So establish weight with justice and fall not short in the balance. 9 He spread out the earth for the people. 10 In which are fruits, and covered dates. 11 grain with its husk and aromatic herbs. 12 Which favors of your Lord will you both (humans and jinn) belie? 13 He has created man out of sounding clay, like pottery, 14 and He created the jinn of a smokeless fire. 15 How many favours of your Lord will you then deny? 16 He is Lord of the two easts and Lord of the two wests. 17 How many favours of your Lord will then both of you deny? 18 He has given freedom to the two great bodies of water, so that they might meet: 19 Between them is a barrier [so] neither of them transgresses. 20 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? 21 From both of them emerge pearl and coral. 22 Which, then, of the benefits of your Lord will ye twain belie? 23 By His command, the ships with raised masts sail on the sea like mountains. 24 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? 25
