The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
78 verses, revealed in Medina after Thunder (Al-Ra'ad) before The Human (Al-Insan)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ The All-merciful 1 Hath taught the Qur'an. 2 He created man, 3 He has imparted unto him articulate thought and speech. 4 The sun and the moon to a reckoning. 5 And the herbs and the trees do obeisance. 6 and He has raised up the heaven and has set a balance 7 so that you should not transgress the measure. 8 So establish weight with justice and fall not short in the balance. 9 And the earth! He hath lain it out for the creatures. 10 Therein are fruit and palm-trees sheathed. 11 and grains with their husk and fragrant plants. 12 How many favours of your Lord will then both of you deny? 13 He has created man, from dry ringing clay, like the potter"s, 14 And the jinns did He create from a smokeless flame of fire. 15 Which, then, of your Sustainer's powers can you disavow? 16 (He is) the Lord of the two easts (places of sunrise during early summer and early winter) and the Lord of the two wests (places of sunset during early summer and early winter). 17 Which of the powers of your Lord will you twain you men and jinn then deny? 18 He has set the two oceans in motion, converging together. 19 Between them is a barrier which they cannot pass. 20 So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? 21 There come forth from them pearls, both large and small. 22 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 23 His are the high-sailed vessels in deep ocean like the mountains. 24 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? 25

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
