The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
96 verses, revealed in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ When the forthcoming event does occur. 1 – and then there will be no one to deny its occurrence – 2 Abasing exalting. 3 when the earth will suddenly shake with a terrible shaking, 4 and the mountains fragmented 5 So that they shall be as scattered dust. 6 And you (all) will be in three kinds (i.e. separate groups). 7 Thus, there shall be such as will have attained to what is right: oh, how [happy] will be they who have attained to what is right! 8 And the People on the Left: and how miserable will be the People on the Left! 9 And those Foremost (in Faith) will be Foremost (in the Hereafter). 10 These are they who are drawn nigh (to Allah), 11 In the Gardens of Pleasure, 12 Many of them will be from the ancient people 13 and how few of the later folk) 14 Seated on couches wrought in gold and encrusted with precious stones, 15 Reclining on them, facing one another. 16 Immortal youths will wait upon them 17 Carrying bowls and pitchers – and cups filled with wine flowing before them. 18 that will neither make the head throb, nor intoxicate, 19 And with fruits, any that they may select: 20 And the flesh of fowls that they desire. 21 And [for them are] fair women with large, [beautiful] eyes, 22 Like unto hidden pearls, 23 Reward for what they used to do. 24 They will not hear any unnecessary or sinful talk 25 only the words of peace and tranquillity. 26 NOW AS FOR those who have attained to righteousness - what of those who have attained to righteousness? 27 [They will be] among lote trees with thorns removed 28 Among Talh trees with flowers (or fruits) piled one above another,- 29 And spreading shade, 30 And in perpetually flowing water. 31 and an abundance of fruits, 32 Unending, unforbidden, 33 and raised couches 34 We have created maidens perfectly 35 And made them virgins. 36 The beloved of their husbands, of one age. 37 for those on the Right, 38

عند قراءة القرآن الملون في وضعية اللغة العربية المرسومة بالأحرف الإنجليزية، قد لا تلاحظ وجود منظومة برمجية مصممة لمطابقة متطلبات علامات الوقف في النص العربي الأصلي. فكما تعلم، يحتوي القرآن على خمسة أنواع رئيسية من علامات الوقف. (1) وقف لازم، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي نقطة وقف. (2) وقف جائز مع الوقف أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلثين. (3) وقف جائز مع تساوي أولوية الوقف والوصل، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال النصف للنصف. (4) وقف جائز مع الوصل أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلث. When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
