The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
96 verses, revealed in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ When the inevitable event comes, 1 There is no denying that it will befall - 2 It will bring down [some] and raise up [others]. 3 This will happen when the earth is shaken, shaken 4 The mountains bruised and crushed, 5 So that they become dust seattered. 6 And ye shall be sorted out into three classes. 7 Those on the right hand; how happy shall those on the right hand be! 8 Those on the Left -- how unlucky are those on the Left! 9 But the foremost shall be [they who in life were] the foremost [in faith and good works]: 10 they who were [always] drawn close unto God! 11 In gardens of bliss [will they dwell] 12 a host of the ancients 13 And a few of later ages, 14 They (will be seated) on gold-encrusted couches, 15 Reclining therein face to face. 16 Immortal youths will wait upon them 17 carrying goblets and ewers and cups filled with the purest wine, 18 Their heads shall not ache with it, nor shall they lose their senses. 19 And fruit; that they may choose. 20 and such flesh of fowl as they desire, 21 And pure, beautiful ones, 22 beautiful as pearls hidden in their shells. 23 A recompense for that which they have been working. 24 Not frivolity will they hear therein, nor any taint of ill,- 25 (Naught) but the saying: Peace, (and again) Peace. 26 And the fellows on the right hand; how be happy shall the fellows on the right hand be! 27 [They, too, will find themselves] amidst fruit laden lote-trees, 28 and acacias flower-clad, 29 And spreading shade, 30 and gushing water, 31 And fruit in abundance. 32 never-ending and unrestricted, 33 And on couches or thrones, raised high. 34 We have created maidens perfectly 35 having resurrected them as virgins, 36 Loving (their husbands only), equal in age. 37 For the companions of the right [who are] 38

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
