The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
96 verses, revealed in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ When the great event comes to pass, 1 (and none denies its descending) 2 It will bring low (some); (and others) it will exalt; 3 when the earth shall be rocked 4 and the mountains will crumble 5 becoming scattered dust, 6 [on that Day] you shall be divided into three groups. 7 Companions of the Right (O Companions of the Right!) 8 And there shall be such as will have lost themselves in evil: oh, how [unhappy] will be they who have lost themselves in evil! 9 The foremost ones (in faith and virtue) - the foremost ones in receiving their reward. 10 It is they who are the close ones. 11 In the Gardens of Pleasure, 12 A multitude of those of old 13 And a few of those of later time. 14 on lavish couches 15 Reclining on them, facing each other. 16 immortal youths shall go about them 17 With cups, and jugs, and a glass from the flowing wine, 18 by which their minds will not be clouded and which will not make them drunk; 19 they will also go about them with the fruits of which they may choose, 20 And the flesh of fowls, any that they may desire. 21 And there will be fair ones large eyed. 22 like the pearls in their shells: 23 [And this will be] a reward for what they did [in life]. 24 Therein they shall hear no idle talk, no cause of sin, 25 Except the saying, “Peace, peace.” 26 The companions of the right - what are the companions of the right? 27 Midst lote-trees thornless. 28 And clustered plantains, 29 And spreading shade, 30 and flowing water 31 And fruit, abundant [and varied], 32 Neither out of reach nor yet forbidden, 33 And maidens incomparable. 34 and their spouses We shall have brought them into being afresh, 35 And made them virgins, 36 chaste, loving companions of the same age 37 For those of the right hand. 38

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
