The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
96 verses, revealed in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ When the Event (the resurrection) comes 1 There is no belying its coming to pass-- 2 (a calamitous Event) that shall turn things upside down: 3 When the earth will tremble, shivering. 4 And the mountains will be powdered to dust. 5 so that they become as scattered dust 6 and you shall be three bands -- 7 Those of the right hand -- how (happy) will be those of the right hand! 8 Companions of the Left (O Companions of the Left!) 9 And those Foremost (in Faith) will be Foremost (in the Hereafter). 10 It is they who are the close ones. 11 in the Gardens of Delight 12 A multitude from the ancients. 13 and a few from later times. 14 (They will be) on Thrones encrusted (with gold and precious stones), 15 reclining upon them, facing one another [in love]. 16 immortal youths shall go about them 17 With bowls and ewers and a cup from a pure spring 18 No headache will they have therefrom, nor will they be intoxicated - 19 they will also go about them with the fruits of which they may choose, 20 and any flesh of fowl that they desire. 21 And (there will be) Houris (fair females) with wide, lovely eyes (as wives for the pious), 22 The likes unto pearls hidden. 23 As reward for what they used to do. 24 They will not hear therein any vain or sinful talk, 25 but only the tiding of inner soundness and peace. 26 As for the people of the right hand, how happy they will be! 27 Midst lote-trees thornless. 28 and acacias flower-clad, 29 And extended shade, 30 By water flowing constantly, 31 And fruit abundant. 32 undiminished and never denied 33 on raised couches. 34 and their spouses We shall have brought them into being afresh, 35 Then We have made them virgins, 36 intensely loving and of matching age. 37 For the fellows on the right hand. 38

Notes and Instructions
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
