The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
96 verses, revealed in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ When the Event (i.e. the Day of Resurrection) befalls. 1 there will be nought that could give the lie to its having come to pass, 2 Degrading (some) and exalting (others); 3 when the earth will suddenly shake with a terrible shaking, 4 And the hills are ground to powder 5 And become dust dispersing. 6 [on that Day,] then, shall you be [divided into] three kinds. 7 Companions of the Right (O Companions of the Right!) 8 The people of the left hand - those whose books of records will be placed in their left hands. How miserable they will be! 9 and the Outstrippers: the Outstrippers 10 those are they brought nigh the Throne, 11 In gardens of delight; 12 a good many of those of olden times, 13 and how few of the later folk) 14 On thrones woven [with ornament], 15 facing one another. 16 (and there) shall wait on them immortal youths 17 With vessels, pitchers and a cup [of wine] from a flowing spring - 18 a drink by which their minds will not be clouded nor will it cause drunkenness; 19 with fruits of their own choice 20 and such flesh of fowl as they desire, 21 And [for them are] fair women with large, [beautiful] eyes, 22 as the likeness of hidden pearls, 23 As reward for what they used to do. 24 There they shall hear no idle talk nor any sinful speech. 25 Only the saying, "Peace! Peace". 26 The Companions of the Right (O Companions of the Right!) 27 [They, too, will find themselves] amidst fruit laden lote-trees, 28 and serried acacias, 29 and spreading shade 30 And water everflowing. 31 And fruit abundant. 32 Neither out of reach nor yet forbidden, 33 They shall be on upraised couches, 34 Verily We! We have created those maidens by a creation. 35 And made them virginal, 36 loving companions, matching in age, 37 for the people of the right hand 38

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
