۞ No! I swear by the fallings of the stars 75 (and that is indeed a mighty oath, did you but know it) 76 Behold, it is a truly noble discourse, 77 preserved in a hidden Book which 78 none but the purified shall touch, 79 a sending down from the Lord of all Being. 80 Then why do you dissimulate this Revelation? 81 You live by calling it a lie. 82 So why was it not, when the soul reaches up to the throat, – 83 the while you are helplessly watching that he is on the verge of death, 84 And We are nigher unto him than ye are, but ye behold not 85 Then why do you not, if you are not to be recompensed, 86 Call back the soul, if ye are true (in the claim of independence)? 87 If he is among the near 88 happiness [awaits him in the life to come,] and inner fulfillment, and a garden of bliss. 89 and if he is of those who are on the Right, 90 he will be greeted with, "Peace be to you," by those on the Right. 91 But if he was of the deniers [who were] astray, 92 a welcome of burning despair [awaits him in the life to come,] 93 And burning in Hell-fire. 94 This is indeed the ultimate truth. 95 Wherefore hallow thou the name of thy Lord, the Mighty! 96
