۞ But nay! I swear by the falling of stars; 75 (and that is indeed a mighty oath, did you but know it) 76 that this indeed is a noble Qur'an, 77 in a hidden Book 78 no one can touch it except the purified ones. 79 A Revelation (this Quran) from the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists). 80 Is it this Statement that ye scorn, 81 And instead (of thanking Allah) for the provision He gives you, on the contrary, you deny Him (by disbelief)! 82 Why, then, when the soul of the dying man reaches the throat, 83 And you wait for the moment (of death), 84 We are nearer to him than you, but you do not see 85 Then why do you not, if you are exempt from the reckoning and recompense (punishment, etc.) 86 why can you not bring it (the soul) back (to life)? 87 Then, if he be of those brought nigh the Throne, 88 For him shall be comfort, and fragrance and a Garden of Delight. 89 and if he be a Companion of the Right: 90 he will be welcomed by the words: “Peace to you” from the People on the Right. 91 But if he be of them that cried lies, and went astray, 92 he will be welcomed with boiling water. 93 And burning in hell. 94 Lo! this is certain truth. 95 So glorify the name of your Great Lord. 96
