۞ Nay, I swear by the setting of the stars -- 75 (and that is indeed a mighty oath, did you but know it) 76 That it is a Recitation honourable. 77 [conveyed unto man] in a well-guarded divine writ 78 Which none can touch except the purified. 79 A revelation from the Lord of the Worlds. 80 How can you regard this discourse with disdain? 81 and do you make it your living to cry lies? 82 Why, then, when the soul of the dying man reaches the throat, 83 and that hour you are watching 84 And We are nearer to it than you, but you do not see-- 85 Why then, if ye are not in bondage (unto Us), 86 do you not bring back his soul, if you speak truly? 87 So if he is one of those who are near-stationed (to Allah), 88 There will be peace and plenty, and gardens of tranquility for him. 89 If he is a Companion of the Right 90 Then peace to you from those on the right hand. 91 But if he be of them that cried lies, and went astray, 92 there shall be a hospitality of boiling water, 93 And a hurling into the blazing fire. 94 Verily, this is the Very Truth and Certainly. 95 Therefor (O Muhammad) praise the name of thy Lord, the Tremendous. 96
