▼ 56 The Inevitable
Al-Waaqe'ah 3 of 3
۞ I do not need to swear by the setting of the stars 75 And lo! that verily is a tremendous oath, if ye but knew - 76 that this is an honorable Quran 77 Kept in a secure Book. 78 which none but the pure may touch; 79 It has been revealed by the Lord of all the worlds. 80 Do you, then, take this discourse in light esteem, 81 and your portion in it is simply that you denounce it as false? 82 Then why do ye not (intervene) when (the soul of the dying man) reaches the throat,- 83 And ye are then looking on. 84 We are closer to him than you, but you cannot see. 85 if you are not subject to anyone's authority, 86 do you not restore his soul, if you are truthful? 87 But if he [the dying person] is one of those brought near to God, 88 there shall be calmness and ease, a Garden of Delight. 89 And if he (the dying person) be of those on the Right Hand, 90 (he will be greeted with): 'Peace be upon you, Companion of the Right' 91 If it is of those who have rejected the Truth and have gone astray, 92 Then an entertainment of boiling water. 93 And roasting at hell-fire. 94 Indeed, this is the certain truth. 95 Then praise your Lord, the most supreme. 96
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
