Believers! Fear God, and let every soul look to what it lays up for the future. Fear God: God is aware of what you do. 18 And be ye not like those who forgot Allah; and He made them forget their own souls! Such are the rebellious transgressors! 19 The people of the Fire and the people of Paradise are not equal. The people of Paradise are the victorious ones. 20 If We had sent down this Qur'an to a mountain you would have seen it turn desolate and split into two for fear of God. We offer these examples to men that they may think and reflect. 21 He is Allah, other than whom there is no deity, Knower of the unseen and the witnessed. He is the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful. 22 Allah is He, than Whom there is no other god;- the Sovereign, the Holy One, the Source of Peace (and Perfection), the Guardian of Faith, the Preserver of Safety, the Exalted in Might, the Irresistible, the Supreme: Glory to Allah! (High is He) above the partners they attribute to Him. 23 It is Allah only, Who is the Creator, the Initiator, the Designer of all – His only are all the good names; all whatever is in the heavens and in the earth proclaims His Purity; and He only is the Most Honourable, the Wise. 24
