In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
All that is in the heavens and all that is in the earth glorifieth Allah, and He is the Mighty, the Wise. 1 O YOU who have attained to faith! Why do you say one thing and do another? 2 It is most loathsome in the sight of Allah that you should profess what you do not practise. 3 Surely Allah loves those who fight in His way in ranks as if they were a firm and compact wall. 4 And (remember) when Moses said unto his people: O my people! Why persecute ye me, when ye well know that I am Allah's messenger unto you? So when they went astray Allah sent their hearts astray. And Allah guideth not the evil-living folk. 5 And call to mind when Jesus, son of Mary, said: “O Children of Israel, I am Allah's Messenger to you, I verify the Torah which has come before me, and I give you the glad tiding of a Messenger who shall come after me, his name being Ahmad.” Yet when he came to them with Clear Signs they said: “This is sheer trickery.” 6 Who could be more wicked than one who invents lies about God when called to submit to Him? God does not guide the wrongdoers: 7 Fain would they put out the light of Allah with their mouths, but Allah will perfect His light however much the disbelievers are averse. 8 It is He who has sent His Messenger with the guidance and the religion of truth, that he may uplift it above every religion, though the unbelievers be averse. 9
