Mutual Blaming (Al-Taghaabun)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
All that is in the heavens and all that is in the earth glorifieth Allah; unto Him belongeth Sovereignty and unto Him belongeth praise, and He is Able to do all things. 1 He it is Who has created you: and among you are those that deny the Truth and among you are those that believe in it. Allah observes all that you do. 2 He created the heavens and earth in truth and formed you and perfected your forms; and to Him is the [final] destination. 3 He knows whatever is in the heavens and the earth and He knows all what you conceal and what you reveal. Allah knows the innermost of the chests. 4 Have you not received the news about the disbelievers living before you who suffered the consequences of their deeds and will suffer a painful torment? 5 That was because their messengers came to them with clear signs, but they replied, "Shall mortals be our guides?" And so they rejected the truth and turned away. God has no need of such people; God is self-sufficient and worthy of all praise. 6 They who are bent on denying the truth claim that they will never be raised from the dead! Say: "Yea, by my Sustainer! Most surely will you be raised from the dead, and then, most surely, will you be made to understand what you did [in life]! For, easy is this for God!" 7 Wherefore believe in Allah and His apostle and the Light which We have sent down: And Allah is of that which ye work Aware. 8 (You shall come to know that) when He will assemble you on the Day of Gathering. That shall be the Day (to determine) mutual gains and losses. Whoever believes in Allah and acts righteously, Allah will have his evil deeds expunged and will admit him to Gardens beneath which rivers flow. Therein they shall abide forever. That is the supreme triumph. 9 But those who denied the truth and rejected Our signs shall be the inmates of the Fire, there to remain -- what an evil destination! 10
