Indeed for the pious, with their Lord, are Gardens of Serenity. 34 Should We treat the true believers and the wrongdoers alike? 35 What is amiss with you? On what do you base your judgment [of right and wrong]? 36 Have you a Scripture that tells you 37 and in which you find all that you may wish to find? 38 Or have ye a covenant on oath from Us that reacheth to the Day of Judgment, that yours shall be all that ye ordain? 39 Ask them, which of them will guarantee that! 40 Or have they some "Partners" (in Allahhead)? Then let them produce their "partners", if they are truthful! 41 Upon the day when the leg shall be bared, and they shall be summoned to bow themselves, but they cannot; 42 With lowered eyes, disgrace overcoming them; and indeed they used to be called to prostrate themselves whilst they were healthy. 43 Let Me alone with him who belieth this discourse; step by step We lead them on when they perceive not. 44 for, behold, though I may give them rein for a while, My subtle scheme is exceedingly firm! 45 Askest thou a hire from them so that they are laden with debt? 46 Or that they possess the hidden, so they are writing it? 47 So wait patiently for the judgment of your Lord, and be not like the companion of the fish, when he cried while he was in distress. 48 and who cried (for help) to his Lord, while imprisoned and helpless inside the fish. Had it not been for a favor from his Lord, he would have been left out in the open, deserving blame for his shortcomings. 49 But his Lord had chosen him and He placed him among the righteous. 50 And indeed, those who disbelieve would almost make you slip with their eyes when they hear the message, and they say, "Indeed, he is mad." 51 [Be patient:] for this is nought else but a reminder [from God] to all mankind. 52
