Nooh 2 of 2

Noah said, "Lord, they have disobeyed me and followed those whose wealth and children will only bring about destruction for them. 21 and who have devised a most awesome blasphemy [against Thee,] 22 and they said [to their followers], "Do not ever abandon your deities: abandon neither Wadd, nor Suwa', and neither Yaghuth, nor Yauq nor Nasr!" 23 They have led many astray; so lead the wrongdoers to further error." 24 And so, because of their sins, they were drowned [in the great flood,] and were doomed to suffer the fire [of the hereafter]; and they found none who could succour them against God. 25 And Noah said, "My Lord, do not leave upon the earth from among the disbelievers an inhabitant. 26 For surely if Thou leave them they will lead astray Thy servants, and will not beget any but immoral, ungrateful (children) 27 My Lord, forgive me and my parents and whoever enters my house a believer and the believing men and believing women. And do not increase the wrongdoers except in destruction." 28
