Did you (O Muhammad SAW) observe him who turned away (from Islam). 33 Gives a little, then hardens (his heart)? 34 Does he [claim to] have knowledge of something that is beyond the reach of human perception, so that he can see [it clearly]? 35 Has not he been informed of the contents of the Book of Moses 36 and about Abraham who fulfilled his duty (to God)? 37 Certainly no one will bear the responsibility of the sins of another, 38 And that for man shall be naught save that wherefor he endeavoureth. 39 And that his effort will be seen. 40 Then he will be recompensed with a full and the best recompense. 41 that all things in the end shall return to God; 42 And that it is He (Allah) Who makes (whom He wills) laugh, and makes (whom He wills) weep; 43 that it is He who causes death and gives life; 44 And that He creates the two mates - the male and female - 45 from a discharged living germ 46 And that He hath ordained the second bringing forth; 47 It is He who grants people temporary and durable wealth. 48 And that He only is the Lord of the star Sirius? 49 And that He did destroy the Ad of old 50 and Thamud tribes, 51 And the people of Noah before. Indeed, it was they who were [even] more unjust and oppressing. 52 And He overthrew the Cities of the Plain, 53 So that there covered them that which did cover. 54 About which, then, of thy Sustainer's powers canst thou [still] remain in doubt? 55 This is a warning just like those of former times. 56 The (Judgment) ever approaching draws nigh: 57 No (soul) but Allah can lay it bare. 58 Do ye then wonder at this recital? 59 And laugh and not weep? 60 While ye amuse yourselves? 61 So prostrate to Allah and worship [Him]. ۩ 62
