Say: I only call upon my Lord, and I do not associate any one with Him. 20 Say: I do not control for you evil or good. 21 Say, "Indeed, there will never protect me from Allah anyone [if I should disobey], nor will I find in other than Him a refuge. 22 Mine is but the publishing from Allah and His messages; and whosoever disobeyeth Allah and His apostle, his portion verily is the Hell-Fire as abiders therein for evermore. 23 [Let them, then, wait] until the time when they behold that [doom] of which they were forewarned: for then they will come to understand which [kind of man] is more helpless and counts for less! 24 Say: I do not know whether that with which you are threatened be nigh or whether my Lord will appoint for it a term: 25 [He is] Knower of the unseen, and He does not disclose His [knowledge of the] unseen to anyone 26 Except to him whom He chooses as an apostle; for surely He makes a guard to march before him and after him, 27 that He may know they have delivered the Messages of their Lord; and He encompasses all that is with them, and He has numbered everything in numbers.' 28
