The Hidden Secret (Al-Muddath-thir)
56 verses, revealed in Mecca after Unknown Person (Al-Muzzammil) before The Key (Al-Faatehah)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
O you who are clothed! 1 Rise up and warn! 2 And thy Lord do thou magnify! 3 purify your garments; 4 and shun uncleanness, 5 Do not bestow favours in expectation of return, 6 and for the sake of your Lord, be patient. 7 So when the Trumpet will be blown. 8 It will be a day of distress, 9 not of ease, for all who [now] deny the truth! 10 Leave him to Me, the one whom I created single. 11 And gave him abundant wealth 12 And sons abiding in his presence 13 And made life smooth and comfortable for him! 14 Yet he desireth that I should give more. 15 By no means! For to Our Signs he has been refractory! 16 Soon I shall mount him on Saood, the hill of fire. 17 Surely he reflected and guessed, 18 death seize him, how he determined! 19 And again perish he! How maliciously he devised! 20 Then he thought; 21 And frowned and puckered his brow, 22 then he retreated and grew proud 23 Then he said: "This is nothing but magic from that of old; 24 This is nothing but the word of a mortal!" 25 I will drive him into Saqar. 26 - Ah, what will convey unto thee what that burning is! - 27 It spares not, neither leaves alone 28 and it burns the flesh. 29 Over it are nineteen. 30 And We have set none but angels as guardians of the Fire, and We have fixed their number (19) only as a trial for the disbelievers, in order that the people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians) may arrive at a certainty [that this Quran is the truth as it agrees with their Books i.e. their number (19) is written in the Taurat (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel)] and the believers may increase in Faith (as this Quran is the truth) and that no doubts may be left for the people of the Scripture and the believers, and that those in whose hearts is a disease (of hypocrisy) and the disbelievers may say: "What Allah intends by this (curious) example?" Thus Allah leads astray whom He wills and guides whom He wills. And none can know the hosts of your Lord but He. And this (Hell) is nothing else than a (warning) reminder to mankind. 31

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
