The Hidden Secret (Al-Muddath-thir)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
O the Cloaked One! (Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him) 1 arise, and warn! 2 And your Lord glorify 3 purify your garments; 4 And keep away from Ar-Rujz (the idols)! 5 And give not a thing in order to have more (or consider not your deeds of Allah's obedience as a favour to Allah). 6 be patient unto your Lord. 7 For when the trumpet shall sound, 8 That Day will be a difficult day 9 Far from easy for the disbelievers. 10 Leave Me with the one I created alone 11 and designated for him ample wealth, 12 And children present [with him] 13 And spread [everything] before him, easing [his life]. 14 Yet he desireth that I should give more. 15 By no means! He has been stubbornly hostile to Our revelation: 16 Soon will I visit him with a mount of calamities! 17 For he had thought and calculated. 18 And woe to him! How he plotted!- 19 May be then be accursed, how he plotted! 20 Then he looked, 21 and then he frowns and glares, 22 and he turned his back and behaved arrogantly 23 and says, "All this is mere spellbinding eloquence handed down [from olden times]! 24 Nothing more than the speech of a man!" 25 I shall make him suffer the torment of hell. 26 And what can make you know what is Saqar? 27 It spares nothing; it leaves nothing intact; 28 It strips away the hide of man. 29 over it are nineteen. 30 We have appointed only angels to be masters of the Fire, and their number We have appointed only as a trial for the unbelievers, that those who were given the Book may have certainty, and that those who believe may increase in belief, and that those who were given the Book and those who believe may not be in-doubt, and that those in whose hearts there is sickness, and the unbelievers, may say, 'What did God intend by this as a similitude?' So God leads astray whomsoever He will, and He guides whomsoever He will; and none knows the hosts of thy Lord but He. And it is naught but a Reminder to mortals. 31
