▼ 74 The Hidden Secret
Al-Muddath-thir 2 of 2
Nay! By the moon 32 and the night when it retreats 33 and by the day when it dawns (with its radiance), 34 surely (Hell) is one of the greatest Signs, 35 A warning unto humankind 36 To any of you that chooses to go forward (by working righteous deeds), or to remain behind (by commiting sins), 37 Every soul is mortgaged for its own deeds. 38 Except those on the Right, (i.e. the pious true believers of Islamic Monotheism); 39 who will be in Paradise 40 About the guilty: 41 What led you into the Scorching Fire? 42 They will say: "We were not of those who prayed; 43 nor did we feed the destitute. 44 and we indulged in vain talk with those who indulged in vain talk, 45 and the Day of Judgment we were wont to call a lie 46 until the inevitable event overtook us.” 47 Then will no intercession of (any) intercessors profit them. 48 Then what is [the matter] with them that they are, from the reminder, turning away 49 As though they were frightened asses 50 Fleeing from a lion? 51 Rather each one of them desires that he should be given open Books. 52 Nay, but they do not [believe in and hence, do not] fear the life to come. 53 Nay; this is an Exhortation. 54 Let anyone who seeks guidance do so. 55 And what advice will they heed, except if Allah wills? Only He deserves to be feared, and His only is the greatness of forgiving. 56
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
