No! By the moon 32 Consider the night when it departs, 33 And the dawn when it shineth forth, 34 hell is certainly the greatest calamity. 35 A warning for people -- 36 To him among you who wishes to go forward or remain behind. 37 Every soul is held in pledge against its own deeds, 38 except the Companions of the Right. 39 (They will be) in Gardens (of Delight): they will question each other, 40 and will ask of the criminals, 41 "What has brought you into hell-fire?" 42 They will answer: We were not of those who prayed 43 and neither did we feed the needy; 44 We used to wade (in vain dispute) with (all) waders, 45 and we denied the Day of Judgement 46 until the Inevitable End [death] overtook us." 47 Then will no intercession of (any) intercessors profit them. 48 What is the matter with people that they are turning away from this Exhortation, 49 As if they were affrighted asses, 50 Fleeing from a lion? 51 Is it that everyone of them wants to receive a heavenly book addressed to him personally? 52 Nay, verily. They fear not the Hereafter. 53 Nay! it is surely an admonition. 54 Then whoever wills will remember it. 55 And they will not mind unless Allah please. He is worthy to be feared and worthy to forgive. 56
