Nay, and by the moon, 32 And by the night when it withdraws, 33 The morning when it is unveiled, 34 hell is certainly the greatest calamity. 35 as a warner to mortals. 36 whether one steps forward to embrace the faith or one turns away from it. 37 Every soul is a pledge for its own deeds; 38 save the People of the Right Hand 39 In Gardens, they seek answers, 40 About the criminals, 41 "What has brought you into hell-fire?" 42 They will say: we have not been of those who prayed. 43 and we did not feed the poor; 44 And we used to enter into vain discourse with those who entered into vain discourses. 45 and rejected the Day of Judgment 46 “Till death overcame us.” 47 So the intercession of intercessors shall not avail them. 48 What is then the matter with them, that they turn away from the admonition 49 As though they were asses startled. 50 fleeing from a lion? 51 Nay, but everyone of them desireth that he should be given open pages (from Allah). 52 Nay! But they fear not the Hereafter (from Allah's punishment). 53 No! Indeed, the Qur'an is a reminder 54 So, whoever wills may benefit from it. 55 And what advice will they heed, except if Allah wills? Only He deserves to be feared, and His only is the greatness of forgiving. 56
