Al-Muddath-thir 2 of 2
I say the truth, and call the moon to witness, 32 and the night when it retreats 33 And by the Dawn as it shineth forth,- 34 Indeed hell is one of the greatest entities. 35 a warning to humankind, 36 To whoever wills among you to proceed or stay behind. 37 Every soul is held in pledge for what it earns, 38 save the Companions of the Right; 39 who will be in Paradise 40 concerning the sinners, 41 "What was it that brought you to Hell?" 42 They will answer: "We were not among those who prayed; 43 and we did not feed the poor; 44 We used to wade (in vain dispute) with (all) waders, 45 "And we used to belie the Day of Recompense 46 Till the Inevitable came unto us. 47 Then there will not profit them intercesion of the interceders. 48 Why then do they turn away from the admonition 49 as though they were terrified asses 50 running away from a lion? 51 Indeed, each one of them desires to be given unrolled scrolls. 52 Nay! But they fear not the Hereafter (from Allah's punishment). 53 Nay, verily, this is an admonition 54 So whosoever will (let him read it), and receive admonition (from it)! 55 But they will not benefit from it unless Allah Himself so wills. He is worthy to be feared; and He is worthy to forgive (those that fear Him). 56
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
