Nay, verily: By the Moon, 32 By the receding night 33 And by the dawn when it brightens, 34 surely it is one of the greatest things 35 it is a warning to man, 36 Whoever of you desires to progress or lag behind. 37 Every soul shall be pledged for what it has earned, 38 except those of the right hand 39 In Gardens; they shall be asking, 40 About the guilty: 41 What has brought you into hell? 42 They will answer: We were not of those who prayed 43 nor did we feed the destitute. 44 we indulged in vain arguments along with those who indulged in them; 45 And we have been belying the Day of Requital. 46 “Till death overcame us.” 47 The intercession of their intercessors shall not benefit them. 48 What is the matter with people that they are turning away from this Exhortation, 49 like frightened donkeys 50 fleeing from a lion? 51 Rather, every person among them desires that he would be given scriptures spread about. 52 Never! In fact they do not fear the Hereafter. 53 Nay, this surely is an admonition: 54 Let him then who heeds remember it. 55 And they will not heed unless Allah willeth (it). He is the fount of fear. He is the fount of Mercy. 56
