The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By the sky, (displaying) the Zodiacal Signs; 1 And the promised day, 2 By one that witnesses, and the subject of the witness;- 3 (Self-)destroyed were the owners of the ditch 4 the fire with its fuel, 5 They sat by it 6 And they themselves are witnesses to what they were doing to the Muslims! 7 Against these they had no grudge except that they believed in Allah, the Most Mighty, the Most Praiseworthy, 8 to Whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth. Allah witnesses everything. 9 Verily those who affected the believing men and the believing women, and then repented not, theirs shall be the torment of Hell, and theirs shall be the torment of burning. 10 For those who believe and do righteous deeds, will be Gardens; beneath which rivers flow: That is the great Salvation, (the fulfilment of all desires), 11 Truly strong is the Grip (and Power) of thy Lord. 12 Surely it is He who originates, and brings again, 13 And He is the Forgiving, the Affectionate, 14 in sublime almightiness enthroned, 15 Doer of what He will. 16 Has it come to you the story of the hosts 17 of Pharaoh, and of [the tribe of] Thamud? 18 Nay! those who disbelieve are in (the act of) giving the lie to the truth. 19 But Allah doth encompass them from behind! 20 Aye! it is a Recitation glorious, 21 Inscribed in a tablet preserved. 22
