Al-Muddath-thir 2 of 2
No! By the moon 32 and by the night when it recedes, 33 And by the dawn when it brightens, 34 Indeed hell is one of the greatest entities. 35 a warning to mortal man 36 To whoever wills among you to proceed or stay behind. 37 Every soul is pledged to what it does, 38 save the People of the Right Hand 39 [dwelling] In gardens [of paradise,] they will inquire 40 about the guilty ones: 41 'What caused you to be thrust into the Scorching (Fire)' 42 They will reply, "We did not pray, 43 and we did not feed the poor; 44 "But we used to talk vanities with vain talkers; 45 And we used to deny the Day of Judgment, 46 "Until there came to us (the Hour) that is certain." 47 The intercession of the intercessors will be of no benefit to them. 48 So what is the matter with them that they turn away from the advice? 49 as though they were frightened wild asses, 50 fleeing -- before a lion? 51 Indeed, each one of them desires to be given unrolled scrolls. 52 By no means! But they fear not the Hereafter, 53 Nay, verily, this (Quran) is an admonition, 54 So whoever pleases may mind it. 55 And they will not mind unless Allah please. He is worthy to be feared and worthy to forgive. 56
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
