No, by the moon! 32 And [by] the night when it departs 33 and the morn when it dawns! 34 surely (Hell) is one of the greatest Signs, 35 A warning to mankind,- 36 A warning unto him of you who shall go forward or who chooseth to lag behind. 37 Every person is a pledge for what he has earned, 38 save the Companions of the Right; 39 who in their gardens will be enquiring 40 Concerning the guilty: 41 What led you into the Scorching Fire? 42 They shall say: We were not of those who prayed; 43 and we did not feed the needy. 44 And we used to enter into vain discourse with those who entered into vain discourses. 45 and we denied the Day of Judgement 46 Until there came to us the certainty." 47 So, the intercession of intercessors will not avail them. 48 What is the matter with them that they turn away from this Reminder, 49 As though they were frightened asses 50 Fleeing from a lion! 51 Yea, everyone of them claims that he [himself] ought to have been given revelations unfolded! 52 No indeed; the truth is that they have no fear of the Hereafter. 53 Nay! it is surely an admonition. 54 So whoever pleases may mind it. 55 And what advice will they heed, except if Allah wills? Only He deserves to be feared, and His only is the greatness of forgiving. 56
