Nay, and by the moon, 32 By the night when it departs. 33 The morning when it is unveiled, 34 Indeed hell is one of the greatest entities. 35 A warning to mortals, 36 Unto him of you who will advance or hang back. 37 Every soul shall be pledged for what it has earned, 38 Save those who will stand on the right hand. 39 [dwelling] In gardens [of paradise,] they will inquire 40 concerning the sinners, 41 'What caused you to be thrust into the Scorching (Fire)' 42 They will say, "We were not of those who prayed, 43 and we did not feed the needy. 44 And we used to enter into vain discourse with those who entered into vain discourses. 45 And we have been belying the Day of Requital. 46 until there came to us the certainty. 47 Then the intercession of the intercessors shall not profit them. 48 What is the matter with them that they turn away from this Reminder, 49 As if they were frightened (wild) donkeys. 50 Fleeing from a lion! 51 Nay, every man of them desires to be -- given -- scrolls unrolled. 52 By no means. In fact they do not fear the Hereafter. 53 Nay, this surely is an admonition: 54 Let him then who heeds remember it. 55 And they will not remember, except that God wills; He is worthy to be feared, -- worthy to forgive. 56
