The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By oath of those who establish proper ranks. 1 by those who reprove severely, 2 and those who recite the Remembrance 3 surely, your God is One, 4 The Lord of the heavens and the earth and what is between them, and Lord of the easts. 5 Lo! We have adorned the lowest heaven with an ornament, the planets; 6 Protecting them against every wayward devil, 7 they cannot overhear the Higher Assembly for they are pelted from every side, 8 Outcast, and theirs is a perpetual torment; 9 except such as snatches a fragment, and he is pursued by a piercing flame. 10 So, ask those who deny the truth if it was harder to create them than all the other things We have created? We created them from sticky clay. 11 Nay, but thou dost marvel when they mock 12 And when they are warned they pay no heed. 13 When they see a sign, they laugh at it, 14 and they say, 'This is nothing but manifest sorcery. 15 Is it ever possible that after we die and are reduced to dust and (a skeleton of) bones, we will be raised to life? 16 And our fathers too?" 17 Say: "Yea, indeed - and most abject will you then be!" 18 It will be only one shout, and at once they will be observing. 19 They will say, "Ah! Woe to us! This is the Day of Judgment!" 20 "(Yes,) this is the Day of Judgement you had called a lie." 21
