No, by the moon! 32 And the night when it withdraweth 33 By the morning when it brighteneth. 34 Surely, it is one of the gravest things, 35 as a warner to mortals. 36 whether one steps forward to embrace the faith or one turns away from it. 37 Every soul is held in pledge for what it earns, 38 Except those on the right side. 39 In Gardens (Paradise) they will ask one another, 40 Concerning the guilty: 41 What led you into the Scorching Fire? 42 They will answer: "We were not among those who prayed; 43 “Nor used to feed the needy.” 44 And we used to enter into vain discourse with those who entered into vain discourses. 45 “And used to deny the Day of Justice.” 46 until death approached us". 47 The intercession of the intercessors shall then be of no avail to them. 48 Then what is the matter with them that they turn away from admonition?- 49 as though they were frightened wild asses, 50 Fleeing from a lion! 51 In fact every one of them wants to be given open books (like the prophets). 52 By no means. In fact they do not fear the Hereafter. 53 No! Indeed, the Qur'an is a reminder 54 Let him who will take heed: 55 And they will not mind unless Allah please. He is worthy to be feared and worthy to forgive. 56
