Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ No! I swear by the Day of Resurrection, 1 and by the self accusing soul (that you will certainly be resurrected). 2 Does man think that We cannot [resurrect him and] bring his bones together again? 3 Yes, We are Able to put together in perfect order the tips of his fingers. 4 Rather, the human desires to continue in his immorality, 5 He asks: "When will the Day of Resurrection be?" 6 So, when the sight shall be dazed, 7 and the moon is eclipsed, 8 and the sun and the moon are brought together 9 Man shall say on that day: Whither to fly to? 10 Never! There is no refuge! 11 unto thy Lord that Day is the recourse. 12 On that Day the human shall be informed of his former and latter deeds. 13 nay, but man shall against himself be an eye-witness, 14 even though he offer his excuses. 15 Do not forestall (the revelation before its completion) by acting in haste. 16 for, behold, it is for Us to gather it [in thy heart,] and to cause it to be read [as it ought to be read]. 17 And when We have recited it to you [O Muhammad SAW through Jibrael (Gabriel)], then follow you its (the Quran's) recital. 18 Then Ours it is to explain it. 19 Truly, you love immediate gain 20 and are heedless of the Everlasting Life. 21 Some faces will on that Day be bright with happiness, 22 Looking to their Lord. 23 And (other) faces on that day shall be gloomy, 24 believing that a crushing calamity is about to strike them. 25 NAY, but when [the last breath] comes up to the throat [of a dying man,] 26 And it is said, "Who will cure [him]?" 27 and he knows that it is the time of parting; 28 And agony is heaped on agony; 29 unto thy Lord that Day is the drive. 30
