Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
40 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Shocker (Al-Qaare'ah) before The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ Nay, I swear by the Day of Resurrection; 1 But nay! I call to witness the accusing voice of man's own conscience! 2 Does man imagine that We will not be able to bring his bones together again? 3 Indeed, We have the power to restore his very finger tips! 4 Yet man wants to deny what is ahead of him: 5 'When will the Day of Resurrection be' he asks, 6 When, then, the sight shall be confounded. 7 And the moon is eclipsed 8 And the sun and moon will be joined together (by going one into the other or folded up or deprived of their light, etc.) 9 on that Day the human will ask: 'To (which place) shall I flee' 10 But there is nowhere to take refuge: 11 Unto your Lord (Alone) will be the place of rest that Day. 12 On that day, man will be informed of all what he sent ahead and left behind. 13 Nay! man is evidence against himself, 14 Though he may put forth his excuses (to cover his evil deeds). 15 (Muhammad), do not move your tongue too quickly to recite the Quran. 16 It is for Us to collect it and to promulgate it: 17 So when We have read it, you should thereupon follow what is read. 18 and then, behold, it will be for Us to make its meaning clear. 19 Yet you love this hasty world 20 And leave (neglect) the Hereafter. 21 That day will faces be resplendent, 22 Looking to their Lord. 23 And on that Day there shall be scowling faces, 24 certain of facing a great calamity. 25 No indeed; when it reaches the clavicles 26 and when it is asked: "Could any magician save him now?"; 27 And he is sure that it is the (hour of) parting 28 And the leg is wound about the leg, 29 To your Lord, that Day, will be the procession. 30

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
