Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ I swear by the Day of Resurrection; 1 And I swear by the reproaching soul [to the certainty of resurrection]. 2 Does man (a disbeliever) think that We shall not assemble his bones? 3 Yes indeed; We are able to shape again his fingers. 4 But man wishes to do wrong (even) in the time in front of him. 5 He asks, "When is the Day of Resurrection?" 6 So when the sight becomes dazed, 7 And the moon is eclipsed 8 and the sun and the moon are brought together 9 Man will say on that Day, "Where is the [place of] escape?" 10 Never so, for there will be no escape. 11 For on that Day the refuge shall be to your Lord. 12 On that Day man will be informed of what he sent forward (of his evil or good deeds), and what he left behind (of his good or evil traditions). 13 Indeed, man shall be a witness against himself, 14 Although he may put forth his pleas. 15 Move not your tongue concerning (the Quran, O Muhammad SAW) to make haste therewith. 16 It is for Us to collect it and to give you (O Muhammad SAW) the ability to recite it (the Quran), 17 And so when We recite it, follow its recitation attentively; 18 Then Ours it is to explain it. 19 NAY, but [most of] you love this fleeting life, 20 And leave the Hereafter. 21 [Some] faces, that Day, will be radiant, 22 Looking at their Lord. 23 And countenances on that Day shall be scowling. 24 believing that a crushing calamity is about to strike them. 25 By no means! When it cometh up to the collar-bone. 26 And men say: Where is the wizard (who can save him now)? 27 the while he [himself] knows that this is the parting, 28 And agony is heaped on agony; 29 upon that day unto thy Lord shall be the driving. 30
