Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ I swear by the Day of Resurrection. 1 and by the self accusing soul (that you will certainly be resurrected). 2 Does man think that We cannot [resurrect him and] bring his bones together again? 3 Yes indeed; We are able to shape again his fingers. 4 But man wishes to do wrong (even) in the time in front of him. 5 asking [derisively,] "When is that Resurrection Day to be?" 6 So, when the sight shall be dazed, 7 the moon eclipsed. 8 And the sun and the moon are joined, 9 On that day man will cry out, “Where shall I flee?” 10 By no means! NO refuge! 11 With thy Sustainer, on that Day, the journey's end will be! 12 Then man will be told what he had sent ahead (of good) and what he had left behind. 13 nay, man shall be a clear proof against himself, 14 Although he tender his excuses. 15 Stir not thy tongue herewith to hasten it. 16 Verily upon us is the collecting thereof and the reciting thereof. 17 When We recite it, follow its recitation. 18 and then, behold, it will be for Us to make its meaning clear. 19 No indeed; but you love the hasty world, 20 and give no thought to the life to come [and to Judgment Day]! 21 Some faces will be radiant on that Day, 22 gazing upon their Lord; 23 and some faces will on that Day be gloomy, 24 certain of facing a great calamity. 25 Never so, for when life withdraws into the clavicula, 26 And it is asked: "Is there any reciter of charms and amulets?" 27 And he (the dying person) will conclude that it was (the time) of departing (death); 28 And leg will be joined with another leg (shrouded) 29 upon that day unto thy Lord shall be the driving. 30
