In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
I CALL TO WITNESS those who are sent consecutively, 1 And by the winds that blow violently, 2 And [by] the winds that spread [clouds] 3 And the scattering winds scattering. 4 and those (angels) dropping, reminding 5 Whether of Justification or of Warning;- 6 surely that which you are promised is about to fall! 7 When the stars are obliterated, 8 and when the sky is rent asunder 9 When the mountains are scattered (to the winds) as dust; 10 And when the apostles are gathered at their appointed time 11 For what day is the time appointed? 12 one will be told, "To the Day of Distinction". 13 And what do you know, what the Day of Decision is! 14 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 15 Destroyed We not the ancients? 16 and then follow them with the later folk? 17 So We serve the sinners. 18 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 19 Did We not create you of a mean water, 20 Then We placed it in a secure resting-place, 21 until an appointed time? 22 For We do determine (according to need); for We are the best to determine (things). 23 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 24 Have We not made the earth (as a place) to draw together. 25 for both the living and the dead? 26 Set We not therein soaring mountains? Sated you with sweetest water? 27 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 28 (It will be said:) "Depart ye to that which ye used to reject as false! 29 Depart unto the shadow falling threefold, 30 Neither having the coolness of the shade nor availing against the flame. 31 Lo! it throweth up sparks like the castles, 32 "As if there were (a string of) yellow camels (marching swiftly)." 33 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 34 This is the day they shall not speak 35 nor shall they be given permission, so that they can apologize. 36 On that day, woe would be those who have rejected God's revelations! 37 Such is the Day of Decision. We will gather you with the ancients. 38 If now ye have any wit, outwit Me. 39 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 40
