Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the (Winds) sent forth one after another (to man's profit); 1 And by the winds that blow violently, 2 by (the angels) spreading (the words of God) far and wide, 3 And by the Verses (of the Quran) that separate the right from the wrong. 4 And those [angels] who deliver a message 5 to excuse some and warn others: 6 surely that which you are promised is about to fall! 7 So when the stars are obliterated 8 when heaven shall be split 9 And when the mountains are blown away, 10 The Messengers will receive their appointments. 11 For what Day was it postponed? 12 For the Day of sorting out (the men of Paradise from the men destined for Hell). 13 And what do you know, what the Day of Decision is! 14 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 15 Have We not destroyed the earlier generations? 16 So shall We make the later ones to follow them. 17 [for] thus do We deal with such as are lost in sin. 18 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 19 Have We not created you from a fluid (held) despicable?- 20 then placed it in a secure repository [the womb], 21 for an appointed term? 22 We then calculated; so how excellently do We control! 23 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 24 Did We not make the earth a receptacle, 25 For the living and the dead, 26 Have We not placed high mountains upon it and given you fresh water to drink? 27 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 28 'Depart unto that which ye were wont to belie. 29 Depart unto the shadow falling threefold, 30 "(Which yields) no shade of coolness, and is of no use against the fierce Blaze. 31 Surely it sends up sparks like palaces, 32 (Or) as it might be camels of bright yellow hue. 33 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 34 That will be the Day on which they will not (be able to) utter a word, 35 nor will they be allowed to proffer excuses. 36 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 37 that Day of Distinction [between the true and the false, when they will be told]: "We have brought you together with those [sinners] of olden times; 38 So if you have a plan, plan against Me (now). 39 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 40
