Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
I CALL TO WITNESS those who are sent consecutively, 1 by (the angels) as swift as blowing winds, 2 By those which cause earth's vegetation to revive; 3 Then separate them one from another, 4 and those (angels) dropping, reminding 5 excusing or warning, 6 Assuredly, what ye are promised must come to pass. 7 When the stars shall be extinguished, 8 And when the heaven is cloven asunder. 9 And when the mountains are carried away by wind. 10 And when the time of the Noble Messengers arrives. 11 To which Day has this task been deferred? 12 one will be told, "To the Day of Distinction". 13 Would that you knew about the Day of Judgment! 14 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 15 Did We not destroy the ancients? 16 Then We will follow them with the later ones. 17 In this wise We do with the culprits. 18 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 19 Did We not create you of a mean fluid, 20 Which We placed in a depository safe. 21 For a certain appointed time, 22 We determined, how excellent a Determiner are We! 23 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 24 Have We not made the earth a container 25 For the living and the dead, 26 Set We not therein soaring mountains? Sated you with sweetest water? 27 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 28 "Go to what you used to deny; 29 "Depart you to a shadow (of Hell-fire smoke ascending) in three columns, 30 [But having] no cool shade and availing not against the flame." 31 Lo! it throweth up sparks like the castles, 32 which seem as though they are yellow-coloured camels. 33 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 34 that Day on which they will not [be able to] utter a word, 35 nor shall they be permitted to offer excuses. 36 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 37 This is the Day of Judgement. We have assembled you all together with past generations. 38 If you are cunning, then try your cunning against Me! 39 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 40
