Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
I swear by the emissary winds, sent one after another (for men's benefit), 1 and then storming on with a tempest's force, 2 Then by oath of those that lift and carry. 3 And by the Verses (of the Quran) that separate the right from the wrong. 4 And those winds that bring down the remembrance. 5 Whether of Justification or of Warning;- 6 Surely, what you are promised must come to pass. 7 So when the stars are obliterated 8 and when the sky is rent asunder 9 The mountains will be blown away as dust. 10 And when the Messengers are gathered to their time appointed; 11 For what day has the term [of all this] been set? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 And what could make thee conceive what that Day of Distinction will be? 14 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 15 Did We not destroy many a nation of the earlier times? 16 and let the latter follow them? 17 [for] thus do We deal with such as are lost in sin. 18 And such fruits as they desire. 19 Did We not create you of a mean water, 20 And We placed it in a firm lodging 21 till a known term decreed? 22 Thus We arranged. How excellent is Our arranging! 23 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle. 25 Both for the living and the dead, 26 place on it high mountains and provide you with fresh water? 27 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 28 GO ON towards that [resurrection] which you were wont to call a lie! 29 Proceed to a shadow rising in three columns: 30 "Which neither gives shade, nor saves from the flame." 31 it indeed throws up sparks like castles, 32 which seem as though they are yellow-coloured camels. 33 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 34 On that Day they will be speechless, 35 nor will they be permitted to offer any excuses. 36 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 37 Such is the Day of Decision. We will gather you with the ancients. 38 If you now have any conspiracy, carry it out on Me. 39 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 40
