Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By (the angels) sent forth with the commands of God, 1 by (the angels) as swift as blowing winds, 2 by the scatterers scattering 3 And by the Verses (of the Quran) that separate the right from the wrong. 4 and those (angels) dropping, reminding 5 To clear or to warn. 6 Surely, what you are promised must come to pass. 7 Then when the stars lose their lights; 8 The heavens split asunder, 9 and when the mountains crumble into dust 10 The Messengers will receive their appointments. 11 to what day shall they be deferred? 12 To the Day of Decision. 13 And what can make you know what is the Day of Judgement? 14 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 15 Have We not destroyed the earlier generations? 16 So shall We make later generations to follow them. 17 [for] thus do We deal with such as are lost in sin. 18 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 19 Did We not create you from a humble fluid, 20 Then We placed it in a secure resting-place, 21 for an appointed term? 22 We determined; excellent determiners are We. 23 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 24 Have We not made the earth a housing 25 Both for the living and the dead, 26 And made therein lofty mountains, and given you to drink of sweet water? 27 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 28 Proceed now towards that which you were wont to deny as false; 29 "Depart you to a shadow (of Hell-fire smoke ascending) in three columns, 30 (Which yet is) no relief nor shelter from the flame. 31 it indeed throws up sparks like castles, 32 So like golden camels." 33 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 34 This is the Day they shall not speak, 35 nor shall they be given permission, so that they can apologize. 36 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 37 This is the day of decision: We have gathered you and those of yore. 38 If you have any plans, use them. 39 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 40
