Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the (Winds) sent forth one after another (to man's profit); 1 storming tempestuously 2 And scatter (things) far and wide; 3 And those [angels] who bring criterion 4 And those that bring down the Reminder 5 to serve as an excuse or a warning. 6 Surely that which ye are promised will befall. 7 So when the stars are obliterated 8 and when the sky is rent asunder, 9 and the mountains are blown away, 10 and when the Messengers' time is set, 11 For what Day was it postponed? 12 one will be told, "To the Day of Distinction". 13 And what will make you comprehend what the day of decision is? 14 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 15 Did We not destroy the ancient people 16 Then caused the latter folk to follow after? 17 Even thus shall We deal with the guilty. 18 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 19 Created We you not of water despicable, 20 Which We placed in a depository safe. 21 till a known term decreed? 22 See that We had the power to do so. Great indeed is Our power to do what We will. 23 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle, 25 For the living and the dead among you? 26 And We placed therein lofty, firmly set mountains and have given you to drink sweet water. 27 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 28 (It will be said unto them:) Depart unto that (doom) which ye used to deny; 29 Proceed to a shadow [of smoke] having three columns 30 “Which neither gives shade, nor saves from the flame.” 31 Indeed, it throws sparks [as huge] as a fortress, 32 So like golden camels." 33 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 34 that Day on which they will not [be able to] utter a word, 35 neither be given leave, and excuse themselves. 36 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth 37 That is the Day of Judgement on which We have assembled you as well as all those who went before you. 38 If you are cunning, then try your cunning against Me! 39 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 40
