Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By the loosed ones successively 1 Then by oath of those that push with a strong gust. 2 And [by] the winds that spread [clouds] 3 And by the Verses (of the Quran) that separate the right from the wrong. 4 Then I swear by the angels who bring down the revelation, 5 To complete the argument or to warn. 6 that whatever with which you have been warned will inevitably come to pass. 7 So when the stars are made to lose their light, 8 And when the heaven is rent asunder, 9 and when the mountains are scattered like dust, 10 And when the time comes for raising the little girls (buried alive) -- 11 If one asks, "To which day have such calamitous events been postponed?" 12 To the Day of Judgement. 13 And what could make thee conceive what that Day of Distinction will be? 14 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 15 Destroyed We not the former folk, 16 We will now cause the later ones to follow them: 17 In this wise We do with the culprits. 18 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 19 Did We not create you from an abject fluid? 20 Which We placed in a depository safe. 21 For a known extent. 22 Thus have We determined [the nature of man's creation]: and excellent indeed is Our power to determine [what is to be]! 23 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 24 Have We not made the earth a repository 25 For the living and the dead. 26 And We placed therein lofty, firmly set mountains and have given you to drink sweet water. 27 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 28 [They will be told], "Proceed to that which you used to deny. 29 “Move towards the shadow of the smoke having three branches.” 30 (Which yet is) no relief nor shelter from the flame. 31 Surely it sends up sparks like palaces, 32 As if they were tawny camels. 33 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 34 This is the day they shall not speak 35 Nor will it be permitted for them to make an excuse. 36 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 37 That is the Day of Judgement on which We have assembled you as well as all those who went before you. 38 So if you have a plot, use it against Me (Allah)! 39 Woe on the day unto the beliers! 40
