Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the loosed ones successively 1 Then by oath of those that push with a strong gust. 2 And scatter (things) far and wide; 3 thus separating [right and wrong] with all clarity, 4 and those hurling a reminder 5 to serve as an excuse or a warning. 6 Indeed, what you are promised is to occur. 7 Thus, [it will come to pass] when the stars are effaced, 8 when heaven shall be split 9 The mountains will be blown away as dust. 10 And when the time comes for raising the little girls (buried alive) -- 11 to what day shall they be deferred? 12 Upon the Day of Decision! 13 Would that you knew what the Day of Decision is! 14 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 15 Did We not destroy the earlier peoples? 16 We shall then send the latter after them. 17 So We serve the sinners. 18 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 19 Did We not create you from an insignificant drop of fluid 20 Then We placed it in a secure resting-place, 21 For a period (of gestation), determined (according to need)? 22 So We did measure, and We are the Best to measure (the things). 23 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 24 Have We not made the earth to draw together to itself, 25 for both the living and the dead? 26 And We placed high mountains as anchors in it and gave you sweet water to drink. 27 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 28 [They will be told], "Proceed to that which you used to deny. 29 "Depart ye to a Shadow (of smoke ascending) in three columns, 30 which neither gives shade nor protects one from the flames. 31 The fire will shoot out sparks as big as huge towers 32 and yellow camels. 33 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth 34 This is the day they shall not speak 35 nor will they be permitted to offer any excuses. 36 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 37 This is the Day of Decision, We have brought you and the men of old together. 38 If now ye have any wit, outwit Me. 39 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 40
