Indeed, We sent Noah to his people, and he tarried among them a thousand years, all but fifty; so the Flood seized them, while they were evildoers. 14 But We saved him and those who were with him in the Ark and made the event a sign for mankind. 15 And Abraham, [too, was inspired by Us] when he said unto his people: "Worship God, and be conscious of Him: this is the best for you, if you but knew it! 16 Ye only worship images instead of Allah, and ye create a falsehood. Verily those whom ye worship instead of Allah own no provision for you. Wherefore seek with Allah provision, and worship Him, and give thanks unto Him: unto Him ye shall be returned. 17 If you belie me, other nations before you also belied. It is only for a Messenger to deliver the clear deliverance. 18 See they not how Allah originates creation, then repeats it. Verily, that is easy for Allah. 19 Proclaim (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), “Travel in the land and see how He creates for the first time, then Allah brings forth the next development; indeed Allah is Able to do all things.” 20 He punishes whom He will and has mercy to whom He will. To Him you shall be turned. 21 You cannot defeat His purpose on earth or in heaven; nor have you any friend or helper besides God." 22
