Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By the loosed ones successively 1 And by the winds that blow violently, 2 and raise (clouds) and scatter them around, 3 separating one from another, 4 And then by those that instil Remembrance into the hearts. 5 Whether of Justification or of Warning;- 6 surely that which you are promised is about to fall! 7 When the stars are extinguished, 8 Heavens will rent asunder. 9 The mountains reduced to dust and blown away, 10 And when the messengers' time has come... 11 For what day is the time appointed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 And what could make thee conceive what that Day of Distinction will be? 14 Woe on that day unto the beliers 15 Did We not destroy the ancients, 16 Then We will follow them with the later ones. 17 This is how We deal with the guilty. 18 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 19 Did We not create you from contemptible water? 20 and place it in a secure place 21 For a known period (determined by gestation)? 22 Thus We arranged. How excellent is Our arranging! 23 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 24 Have We not made the earth (as a place) to draw together. 25 Both for the living and the dead, 26 And We placed high mountains as anchors in it and gave you sweet water to drink. 27 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 28 (It will be said:) "Depart ye to that which ye used to reject as false! 29 "Depart you to a shadow (of Hell-fire smoke ascending) in three columns, 30 Neither shady nor protecting against the blazing Fire. 31 and throwing up sparks as huge as towers 32 like giant fiery ropes! 33 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 34 This is the day they shall not speak 35 And they will not be permitted to put forth any excuse. 36 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 37 This is the Day of Decision, We have brought you and the men of old together. 38 if you have a trick, try you now to trick Me!' 39 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 40
