Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the (winds) sent forth in quick succession, 1 By the raging hurricanes, 2 Which scatter clouds to their destined places, 3 then the criterion (the verses of Koran), separating 4 And then by those that instil Remembrance into the hearts. 5 to excuse some and warn others: 6 What is promised will surely come to pass. 7 So when the stars are put out, 8 and the sky is rent asunder, 9 The mountains reduced to dust and blown away, 10 and when all the apostles are called together at a time appointed... 11 To what day is the doom fixed? 12 For the Day of sorting out (the men of Paradise from the men destined for Hell). 13 What do you know what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth. 15 Destroyed We not the ancients? 16 And We shall cause those of later times to follow them. 17 Thus do We deal with the guilty. 18 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 19 Did We not create you from an insignificant drop of fluid 20 Then We placed it in a secure resting-place, 21 until an appointed time? 22 So We proportion it-- how well are We at proportioning (things). 23 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected the revelations of God! 24 Have We not caused the earth to hold within itself 25 for both the living and the dead? 26 And We placed high mountains as anchors in it and gave you sweet water to drink. 27 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 28 Proceed to that which you denied. 29 Depart unto the shadow three branched: 30 Neither shading nor availing against the flame. 31 Indeed, it throws sparks [as huge] as a fortress, 32 as black camels. 33 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 34 That will be a Day when they shall not be able to speak. 35 Nor shall they be permitted so that they might excuse themselves. 36 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 37 that Day of Distinction [between the true and the false, when they will be told]: "We have brought you together with those [sinners] of olden times; 38 If now ye have any wit, outwit Me. 39 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 40
